Accent Housing has donated 10 laptops to Cavendish Primary School in Bradford, West Yorkshire, to help families build digital skills and access employment support.
The school, which is part of Exceed Academies Trust, will use the devices in community sessions and workshops for parents. The activities will include digital skills training, employment support workshops and access to online learning resources.
The partnership aims to tackle digital exclusion by helping families gain confidence using technology and access services that are increasingly delivered online.
Jonathan Nixon, headteacher at Cavendish Primary School, said: “We are extremely grateful to Accent Housing for this generous donation. Access to technology is increasingly essential in modern life, whether for employment, learning or accessing important services. These laptops will enable us to offer practical support to families and help remove barriers that some members of our community face.”
Lizzy Robinson, regional specialist housing manager at Accent Housing, said: “We know that access to technology can open doors to new opportunities. By working alongside Cavendish Primary School, we hope these laptops will help families build confidence online, develop new skills and access the support and services they need. Strong partnerships like this can make a real difference in local communities.”
