Manchester-based SaaS firm Mobysoft says that the highly publicised damp and mould issues experienced by social landlords can be remedied by utilising AI.
The predictive analytics firm, which supplies data insight solutions to the social housing sector, has championed the use of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) repairs platform to solve what has become a problematic issue for social housing providers and their tenants in recent times.
Mobysoft’s RepairSense offering – an artificial intelligence platform for repairs services – has been developed over the past three years to help social landlords improve the quality and sustainability of repairs by interpreting data to identify priority cases and maximise productivity by attributing resources efficiently.
James Davison, Chief Technology officer at Mobysoft said: “A facet of RepairSense is identifying, and assessing the severity of the damp and mould issue in homes and helping to prioritise repairs.
“Some landlords currently face an issue being able to do this as it often requires analysis of unstructured data sets – data that is not defined or arranged according to set criteria – from multiple systems that are not always totally integrated.
“By harnessing supervised machine learning and data science, RepairSense has analysed over 2 million repairs jobs and created labelled data.
“This helps identify raw data in unstructured data sets and adds meaningful informative labels to provide context, removing the need for manual analysis by landlords and enabling them to focus on resolving issues for their tenants.”
Mobysoft is already further developing the platform’s capabilities around damp and mould and will release updates in the first half of 2023 that will help identify unreported cases of properties impacted by damp and mould.
By harnessing the size of the dataset across the platform, the update will be able to identify the most effective fix for specific repairs issues, offering a level of functionality unrivalled by other SaaS providers within the social housing sector.
Housing Digital Stakeholder Mobysoft is one of the fastest growing software as a service-providers in the UK. Its RentSense product helps landlords sustain more tenancies, deliver efficiencies, and protect revenues.
