Cardiff Community Housing Association (CCHA) has promoted Naveeda Morgan from head of finance to corporate director for central services.
The move follows the recent appointment of Brian Pickett as chief executive, and is intended to reinforce the organisation’s continued growth and foster a “seamless transition” in the organisation’s leadership.
Morgan joined CCHA in 2020, a year marked by unprecedented challenges given the global pandemic.
Over the past three years, she is described as having shown “exceptional dedication, expertise, and leadership skills” in her role as head of finance. She is credited with a significant contribution to the company’s financial stability and growth during a period of great uncertainty.
In her new role as corporate director for central services, Morgan will oversee essential functions that support the housing association’s operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across various departments.
Morgan said she was “incredibly proud” to be appointed to her new role.
“I joined CCHA in 2020 during the pandemic, and the past three years as the head of finance have been an absolute whirlwind,” she added. “I am so happy to be able to continue on my leadership journey here and look forward to being part of the new-look leadership team.”
Pickett added: “I have worked with Naveeda for the past three years and I cannot think of a better person to join our corporate leadership team as corporate director of central services. Naveeda thinks far wider than finances and understands the communities we service in Cardiff. I am confident I leave the finance portfolio in really safe hands with her appointment.”
