Wyre Forest District housing provider Community Housing has announced the permanent appointment of Andy Plant as director of Assets, Development, and Sales.
Community Housing says he will play a key role in the delivery of its three-year Corporate Plan 2021-24, which is focussed on developing and enhancing homes and communities.
Matt Cooney, chief executive, said: “We have ambitious plans to increase the number of new homes, implement environment improvements, meet net-zero requirements, and develop our Building Safety strategy; and Andy’s proven abilities and calm authority will be extremely valuable to our success.”
Before joining Community Housing as interim director in March, Andy worked for Northwards Housing, First Choice Homes, Southway Housing Trust, and The Guinness Partnership.
He has been operating at executive director level for over 15 years, including acting as a consultant to housing associations around the country.
Andy said: “I am really looking forward to working with colleagues in the Development, Asset Management, Building Safety, and Property Care teams as we develop our services and embed new systems.
“We have some challenges ahead of us and we’ll need to be agile to be able to respond to the changing environment, but there is a strong sense of wanting to make a difference within the teams, which will drive us forward.”
Andy’s appointment completes the restructure of the executive team at Community Housing, following the appointment of Catherine Cole as director of Housing and Communities in February and Richard Lethbridge as director of Finance in March.
