Ealing Council’s cabinet has approved the final phase of the Green Man Lane regeneration in West Ealing, paving the way for around 400 new homes.
Housing association A2Dominion and Higgins Partnerships will work as joint venture partners to take the scheme forward, subject to the design process and further approvals. The delivery arrangements for the final phase are still to be confirmed as the scheme progresses.
The partnership follows an earlier project between the two organisations at Hanwell Square in West London, which delivered 360 mixed-tenure homes.
Green Man Lane sits a short walk from West Ealing Elizabeth line station. The regeneration has been under way for several years, with most of the original buildings demolished and replaced by more than 500 sustainable mixed-tenure homes, along with a community centre, a community café and a new building for St John’s Primary School. The latest phase is intended to complete that transformation.
Councillor Peter Mason, leader of Ealing Council, said: “Building genuinely affordable homes for local people is one of our top priorities, and completing this final phase at Green Man Lane will help hundreds more local families move into new, safe, energy-efficient homes.
“Green Man Lane has already seen significant improvements with new homes, community facilities and a new school. Completing this last phase will help more people put down roots in our borough and build their lives here.”
Declan Higgins, chief executive officer at Higgins Group, said: “Green Man Lane is a major opportunity to complete a long-running regeneration and deliver much-needed new homes in West London.
“Our successful partnership with A2Dominion at Hanwell Square gives us a strong foundation for this final phase, and we look forward to working closely with Ealing Council, A2Dominion and the local community to build on what has already been achieved.”

Higgins says it will also work with Ealing Council and local partners on social value commitments, including employment, skills and training opportunities for local people, as the scheme progresses.
