Futures Housing Group, a not-for-profit landlord based in Derbyshire, has built a development of 18 new homes in the village of Crich.
The homes in Coast Hill, which are available for shared ownership and rent, will provide affordable accommodation for local people.
The site has a range of house designs and includes six bungalows next to the medical centre.
The 18 new homes include two-bedroomed and three-bedroomed shared ownership, affordable rent, and Rent to Buy properties.
Shared ownership gives people the chance to buy a share of a property, typically 25% or 50%, while paying rent on the remaining share.
The Rent to Buy scheme offers lower rent (80% of market rent), allowing tenants to save for a house deposit to buy the property outright.
James Dial, programme manager, said: “We’re committed to building high-quality and affordable homes for local people and this site is a great example of this.
“Crich is a beautiful, highly sought-after village, and these homes will give people the chance to stay in the area near family and friends”
The social landlord with 10,000 homes began work on the site in November 2019.
The scheme, costing £3m, will see homeowners and tenants move into their new homes at the end of July.
A possible phase 2 of the project is being explored by Futures, which will allow the housing association to build more affordable homes on the site.
Futures appointed Geda Construction to undertake the project. This is the second scheme they have worked on with Geda. Futures has recently set out its plans to build hundreds of homes over the next three years.
