Golding Homes has confirmed the appointment of Ebele Akojie to its board.
The Kent landlord says Akojie’s appointment represents part of the association’s continuing commitment to strengthen its board and governance structures.
Golding Homes chair Chris Cheeseman said: “We are delighted to welcome Ebele to our board, she has more than 20 years of experience working at board level and excellent knowledge of treasury, strategic financial management, risk, and business growth.
“The addition of Ebele will strengthen our board further and our progress to deliver our corporate plan ambitions.”
Career background
Akojie has held a range of executive, directorial, and board level roles – including chief financial officer, Financial Strategy and Operations director, and Finance director at three G15 housing associations.
Akojie is a serving Audit Committee member for The Salvation Army Housing Association and served as chair of the Audit Committee at Paragon Housing (now PA Housing) for six years.
Akojie said: “I am excited to be joining the Board of Golding Homes at this time, which marks a period of transition with a new corporate plan and focus for the business launched earlier this year.
“I look forward to using my skills and extensive sector experience to help Golding to grow and thrive as one of Kent’s biggest local landlords.”
Golding Homes is a housing association that owns and manages just under 8,000 homes in Kent.
