Housing 21 has retained its Investors in People Platinum and We Invest in Wellbeing Gold accreditations, recognising its workplace culture and support for colleagues.
Investors in People Platinum is the highest level of accreditation, recognising exceptional standards in leadership and employee engagement, while We Invest in Wellbeing Gold is awarded to organisations with a strong and embedded approach to colleague wellbeing and workplace culture.
Housing 21 is one of a small number of organisations in the UK operating a live partnership approach with Investors in People, receiving ongoing assessments throughout the year based on current priorities and colleague feedback.
The latest assessment found that Housing 21 has not just maintained existing standards but has continued to improve. It highlighted the organisation’s “significant and deliberate leadership evolution”, including the creation of a directorate leadership team and chief operating officer role, which have helped create a more coordinated approach across its older living services.
Ian Hodson, director of people and culture at Housing 21, said: “Retaining these accreditations is a significant achievement and provides external recognition of our people-focused culture. We are particularly proud to have retained our Platinum status because it reflects not only the strength of our current approach, but the progress we have continued to make in listening to colleagues, strengthening leadership and improving the experience we provide as an employer.
“The assessment process is incredibly valuable because it does not simply tell us what we are doing well; it gives us the insight we need to keep improving. Through our live partnership with Investors in People, colleague feedback helps shape future priorities, ensuring we continue to create an environment where our people can thrive and deliver high-quality services for residents.”
Housing 21 says it will continue to work with Investors in People through its live partnership approach, using feedback and insights to strengthen colleague experience, support continuous improvement and deliver better outcomes for residents.
