Building Careers are currently working with a social housing contractor in the North West who have a temporary to permanent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager. Working across various schemes you will be assisting the planned maintenance team in the delivery of projects by supervising on-site activities, working with sub-contractors and direct labour. Projects will include re-roofing, window and door replacement schemes, EWI, major refurbishment and adaptation works.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of multi skilled operatives, delivering planned works maintenance programmes. As an Assistant Site Manager you will be working closely with the Contracts Manager and site management team to ensure the delivery and smooth running of contracts.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
To provide site based support and supervision- liaising closely with the site management team- supervising delivery and distribution of materials on site.
To liaise with and assist the Site Manager on customer related issues throughout the housing investment programme process.
Attend client contract meetings.
Act as a client liaison between partners, contractors, consultants and tenants during planned works.
Supervise and manage sub- contractors and direct labour on site.
Assist in resource planning to meet programme targets.
Ensure installation plans and surveys are completed for every property.
Site inspections- ensure high quality of work is consistent.
It will be essential to have a minimum of SSSTS with experience of working on refurbishment schemes.
This is an ongoing temporary position with opportunity for a permanent contract.
