Ongo has started the construction of 12 new one-bed apartments for affordable rent in Scunthorpe.
The homes will be finished to a high-quality standard and come with an added parking court and electric vehicle charging points, Ongo says.
Ground-floor apartments will also provide level access and wet rooms.
Situated on Queensway/Bellingham Rd, Scunthorpe, the new homes sit close to a busy retail park, motorway links, and the town centre.
Ongo expects the homes to be “extremely” popular with those looking for their first home or to downsize.
Amy Schoenmaker, development project manager at Ongo, said: “This project is really exciting as it’s very different to others we have going on at the moment, and brings something new and fresh to the market.
“Because everything is brand new, the homes are perfect for those just starting out, or those that want to move into a smaller place, with less maintenance. They offer a more affordable route too.
“The build is coming together really quick, and it’s great to see how much progress is being made.
“We can’t wait to see them finished.”
G.S Kelsey has been appointed as the lead contractors on this site, with completion date set for Christmas this year.
