Construction has started on eight new Ongo bungalows near Bridges Road in Scunthorpe.
The homes are located next to Trent View House high-rise flats and will all be for affordable rent.
The bungalows will come with level access, wet rooms, private gardens, BT super-fast broadband, and Virgin Media installed as standard.
Local contractors T.G. Sowerby are taking charge of the construction process, with the bungalows themselves touted as part of Ongo’s promise to provide housing options for all.
Amy Schoenmaker, Development project manager at Ongo, said: “We’re excited to offer another fantastic scheme in Scunthorpe that eight families in need can really benefit from.
“The land they’re being built on was run down, so it’ll make a real improvement to the area.
“Bungalows are always high in demand and go down really well when it comes to advertising, so we’re expecting a lot of interest in them.”
The Ongo project has been funded by Homes England and is due for completion next summer.
