Orbit has appointed Wendy Edmond as its new head of property and estates management.
In her new role, Edmond will lead the further development of the organisation’s property and estates operating model.
She joins Orbit following 17 years at Places for People, most recently in the role of housing services manager, and brings with her over 20 years of experience in the social housing sector.
Edmond will focus on re-shaping the team and launching a refresh of the operating model, to enable Orbit to bring together stakeholder teams across the business to better deliver an “enhanced and connected” service.
She said: “I’m delighted to be joining Orbit and support colleagues to improve our service delivery. I have always enjoyed working in customer centric roles that can have a genuine impact. I am excited to be able to work with the Orbit team to shape its property and estates management operating model to further benefit customers.”
Tony Clark, director of property operations at Orbit, added: “Wendy brings with her a wealth of experience spanning all areas of property and estates management, so I’ve no doubt she will prove a real asset to our team. We have some exciting plans in the pipeline, and I look forward to working with Wendy and the wider team on implementing these and driving positive change.”
