Platform Housing Group has completed two new social housing developments in Worcester.
The Midlands-based landlord has finished work on four new homes in different parts of the city, both of which were delivered under the same contract and offer affordable homes for shared ownership.
Situated on Turrall Street and Moor Street, the schemes cost a total of £734,011.85 to develop.
The projects were supported by funding from Homes England and Platform Housing Group itself.
The homes were built on former garage sites, with works commencing in May 2020 and completing in March 2021.
Ashley Round, project manager at Platform Housing Group, said: “These two dilapidated garage sites have been demolished and four new affordable homes have been built, allowing people to purchase their first homes via the Shared Ownership Programme.
“The sites now look fresh and new and have vastly improved the street scenes.”
Round concluded: “Both developments have been really positive for the areas, helping people to get their feet on the property ladder.
“We would like to thank all the residents in the local areas for their continued support throughout both projects.”
Platform Housing Group owns and manages 46,000 homes across the Midlands, with a portfolio that includes social and affordable rent and shared ownership houses.
The group has G1 governance and V1 financial viability ratings from the Regulator of Social Housing and an A+ rating from Standard and Poor’s and Fitch.
