Savills Affordable Housing Consultancy has appointed Nick Atlay, formerly of the Regulator of Social Housing, to the position of associate director.
Nick joined the team in January after seven years at the Regulator of Social Housing, where he served as a senior financial analysis manager.
Savills says he will play a “key” role in guiding governance, risk management, financial viability, and housing assurance for the consultancy’s affordable housing clients in the UK.
While at the regulator, Nick led on in-depth assessments (IDAs) of housing providers and supported the delivery of planned and reactive rent regulation.
Prior to that, Nick managed internal audits supporting with complex accounting advice, business case reviews, options appraisals, and finance resource support for social housing and other public sector clients.
He has also worked for a local authority with retained ownership of its social housing.
