settle has appointed a new board member with specialist expertise to support the organisation’s ambitions for better use of technology and data
Hasani Jess brings a wealth of business knowledge and leadership experience to the social housing provider, having worked in the technology industry for 20 years.
Currently serving as chief technology officer at Simply Business, one of the UK’s largest business insurance and landlord insurance providers, Jess has worked across a range of sectors including retail at Harrods, travel at TUI, finance at Morgan Stanley, telecommunications at BT Syntegra, and government, while also as a consultant at IBM.

Jess (pictured) was ranked one of the UK’s top technology leaders in the CIO 100 awards in 2019 and 2020, and was recently awarded the FDM Everywoman Male Agent of Change award for his work to improve female representation in technology.
Commenting on his appointment, Jess said: “I am thrilled to join the board at this exciting time and support settle’s ambitious plans for digital innovation.
“I look forward to working with the rest of the team to explore how the latest technology can enhance the business, boost our performance, and improve the lives of our customers.”
Jess added: “Although only recently joining the settle family, I am confident we have the ambition, talent, and opportunity to create something special.”
