Ebele Akojie has been appointed executive director of finance and resources at settle.
Ebele brings a wealth of finance, governance and resource management experience, gained from a variety of senior leadership and board roles over the last 20 years.
In recent years Ebele has worked for G15 Housing Associations including serving as the finance director at Genesis at the point of merger with Notting Hill and Chief Finance Officer at One Housing Group.
An experienced housing association board member, she is currently on the board of Golding Homes where she also serves as an audit committee member and chairs the treasury committee.
Ebele’s appointment at settle ensures the organisation remains in a strong position to deliver it’s 2024 vision and priorities.
Ebele joins Hasani Jess who was recently appointed as technology specialist to the settle board and Sally Veitch who joined as settle Chair in late 2020.
The organisation remains on track to deliver 1500 new homes by 2024, having secured its first private placement in summer 2020.
Priorities for settle also include ongoing investment in existing homes and neighbourhoods and delivering customer-focussed services that continue to meet the changing needs of all residents, along with funding and delivering against decarbonisation targets.
Ebele, who starts her new post at settle mid-October 2021, said: “I am delighted to be joining the settle team at such an important time for the organisation.
“I am really looking forward to working with settle colleagues, the Executive team and Board.
“I look forward to working together to deliver the priorities set out in the organisation’s current corporate plan, and to help shape future plans and investment to ensure we continue delivering the best possible outcomes for all settle residents, colleagues and neighbourhoods.”
settle owns and manages more than 9,600 social and affordable homes across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
