The Guinness Partnership, one of England’s largest housing associations, has announced they are supporting the charity, The Baytree Centre, to help fund their work in providing after school youth activities, as well as mother and child wellbeing training and support.
The Baytree Centre, located in Brixton, Lambeth, works to empower women and girls through skills development programmes, social mobility, financial management, health & well-being, education, employment, family stability, integration pathways, 1-1 mentoring, academic support and social action activities.
Guinness is providing funding to the charity towards their costs in running after school youth activities where girls and young adults aged between 6-20 years old can take part in a range of activities including: creative writing, gymnastics, cookery, arts and crafts, drama, football, sewing, movement and dance and horse riding.
Additional funding will also go towards the development of a parenting course for mothers to support their children in school.

This service provides really valuable and easily accessible support to those who need it.”
Carmen González, Development Director at The Baytree Community Centre said: “The generous donation from The Guinness Partnership is making a huge difference in helping us engage the girls’ parents coming to our after-school activities.
“The after-school clubs have also been uplifted with The Guinness Partnership donation which has helped us reach 50 per cent more girls.”
