A2Dominion has announced the appointment of Ian Wardle as its new CEO.
Wardle, who currently serves as CEO of Thirteen Group, will join A2Dominion later this year following the departure of incumbent Darrell Mercer, who is set to retire in August after 34 years.
Ian Wardle will become A2Dominion’s second CEO and will be responsible for developing the strategic and commercial direction of the 38,000-home group.
He will also be responsible for ensuring continued investment in A2Dominion’s customers and communities, which are core to its values.
Ian has served as CEO of Thirteen Group since 2016.
Prior to this, Ian was managing director of Reading Borough Council, director of Regeneration Services at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, project director for the Sunniside Regeneration Project in Sunderland, and development director at Taylor Wimpey.
Earlier this year, A2Dominion announced the appointment of new chair Alan Collett, who takes over from Ian Cox later this month following the completion of his maximum nine-year term in office.
Both Alan and Ian said in a joint statement: “We are delighted to welcome Ian Wardle as our new permanent CEO.
“He has demonstrated a passion for customers, their housing and their communities, and also the driving through of efficiencies to assist in-house teams in delivering the services that turn houses into secure and safe homes.”
Ian Wardle said: “It is an exciting time to join A2Dominion to assist in its future service delivery.
“I am looking forward very much to working with customers, colleagues and partners to face the future with continued strength and to build on the great work to date.”
