Thrive Homes has appointed David Mullen as assistant director of Resources to support delivery of the housing association’s growth plans.
David Mullen has over 10 years’ experience as a finance professional within the social housing sector, having worked for some of the largest housing associations in the UK including Peabody and Wheatley Group.
David’s wide-ranging experience also includes finance and resource management in a local authority and within the private sector.
Commenting on the appointment, David said: “I am delighted to join the strong, passionate team at Thrive Homes. I look forward to applying my experience in housing and finance to help Thrive Homes continue to grow and achieve its business objectives.

Thrive Homes’ chief executive, Elspeth Mackenzie, said: “I am thrilled to welcome David to our organisation as an assistant director of Resources, where he will help maintain our financial stability during a period of growth, ensuring that Thrive Homes continues to provide comfortable, affordable homes in some of the most expensive areas of the country.
David Mullen’s appointment is the third senior hire by Thrive Homes in the last nine months.
Karen Forbes-Jackson and Mark Farrar were appointed in July 2020 as Corporate Services director and Finance director respectively.
Thrive Homes also welcomed Kate McLeod as a new board chair in November 2020.
Thrive Homes owns and manages around 5,000 homes across the home counties, delivering homes for social rent, affordable rent, shared ownership, and market rent across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire.
