Vistry Partnerships has joined forces once again with south-west England’s largest housing provider, LiveWest, to help tackle the region’s housing shortage.
The two organisations have started the construction of 40 new homes in South Brent, 25 of which will be for affordable rent and 15 for shared ownership.
Together, the development will provide a mix of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom accommodation.

The development, adjacent to the existing housing at Fairfield, is set within the Palstone area on the East side of South Brent, benefiting from a location on the south-west fringes of Dartmoor National Park, with access to local amenities and the A38.
Bradley Davison, managing director of Vistry Partnerships South West, said: “We are excited to have begun work on the construction of these new homes in South Brent.
“As a partnerships-focused business, we look to build and establish long-term relationships that deliver true value for our clients.
“South Brent is an exciting opportunity for us to deliver beautiful homes in an area of outstanding beauty within the South West, working with our partners, LiveWest, to address the regions housing shortage and transform lives and landscapes by delivering quality homes.”
The development is benefiting from grant-funding from government housing agency Homes England.
The new homes are expected to be completed and ready to move in by summer 2022.
