Livv Housing Group has welcomed its top C1 consumer rating from Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) following its recent inspection.
The RSH awarded the grading – alongside a G2 governance grading and V2 viability grading – after assessing the organisation’s performance for customers and its financial and governance arrangements.
The C1 rating, the highest available, recognises Livv’s progress in delivering quality homes and services. The regulator pointed to the organisation’s effective approach to health and safety, improvements to its repairs service, and the way customer insight informs strategy and service delivery.
The V2 viability grading confirms Livv remains financially viable and able to withstand a range of scenarios, while reflecting sector-wide pressures including rising costs, growing demand for investment in existing homes, and the need to deliver new housing.
The G2 governance grading followed a self-referral by Livv relating to assurance and treasury-related controls. The organisation has since introduced an improvement programme aimed at strengthening governance arrangements.
Sharon Marsh, chief executive of Livv Housing Group, said: “We are pleased that our first consumer grading has resulted in a C1, recognising the quality of our homes and services and the commitment of our colleagues to supporting customers and communities. This is an important milestone for Livv and reflects the progress we’ve made in a challenging environment.
“We are equally clear about where we need to improve. Our viability grading reflects the wider pressures facing the sector as well as our own ambition to continue investing in homes and services. We have clear plans in place to strengthen our financial resilience and governance, and we will continue working closely with the regulator as we deliver these improvements.”
Livv said it would continue focusing on delivering quality homes and services, strengthening organisational resilience, and investing in communities, with the aim of returning to G1 and V1 gradings as soon as practicable while maintaining its consumer performance.
