Nominations are officially open for the Northern Housing Awards 2025, so get those entries in and make ready to celebrate the sector’s movers and shakers
Yes, it’s that time of year; we’re about to enjoy the Christmas festivities, but there’s another glittering celebration to look forward to in the year ahead.
The door is officially open for the prestigious Northern Housing Awards 2025, so start thinking about those nominations while you’re munching on the mince pies.
Once again, come the Spring, a host of coveted trophies are up for grabs, celebrating the achievements of the North’s housing industry, and applauding those who are tirelessly working to make a difference.
Over the years, the Northern Housing Awards has become firmly established as one of the sector’s prime events. It has elevated a firmament of shining stars from across our regions; those who stand out as exemplars of what the industry and its partners can – and do – achieve year in year out.
And we’re back for more.
The Northern Housing Awards celebrate everything from housebuilding and modern construction; community engagement and experience; smart working and energy efficiency; repairs and maintenance to retrofit; digital innovation and technology; partnerships, team work, and so much more.
Across the board of awards, though, the thread that binds is the heart and soul of housing organisations, their supply chain partners, and the proven difference they are making for communities and residents across the North of England and North Wales.
There are 23 categories up for grabs at the 2025 Northern Housing Awards; each celebrating excellence within their respective fields.
There are some new categories to play with this coming year, too:
- Best Repairs and Maintenance Service: This category aims to shine a spotlight on the organisations that are going the extra mile to deliver efficient and effective repairs and maintenance services for their residents. It will be particularly interesting to see how entrants are implementing new technologies and innovative practices as they strive to make a difference
- Professional Services Partner of the Year: This category is introduced to celebrate professional service partners who have delivered outstanding support, expertise, and collaboration to the housing sector. This award casts its net wide, but the emphasis remains very much focused on the benefits delivered to the housing client, and how those services enhance the social landlord’s operations for tenants
- Best Digital Transformation: This category aims to celebrate those organisation’s that are leading the way with the successful deployment of digital technology to transform their culture and services, enhance resident experience, and drive operational efficiency
- Technology Partner of the Year: This category celebrates technology partners who have made a significant impact in the housing sector through innovative solutions, exceptional collaboration, and measurable outcomes

The Northern Housing Awards 2025 take place on Thursday 1 May at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester. Nominations are officially open, with the deadline for entries on 21 February 2025, and the shortlist of finalists announced on 24 March 2025.
The winners, of course, will be announced on the night, and presented with their trophies during the gala dinner and awards ceremony.
