The Housing Network (THN) has appointed Donna Folland as head of talent and resourcing, as the organisation continues to expand its services.
The appointment follows the recruitment of Melanie Manners as chief people officer earlier this year. THN provides temporary accommodation and supported housing for people with complex and often urgent needs.
Folland joins THN with almost three decades of experience in recruitment, workforce planning and leadership roles. In her new position, she will lead the organisation’s talent and resourcing function, supporting recruitment across the business while helping to develop the systems, processes and workforce planning needed to support future growth.
A key focus for Folland will be supporting the growth of THN’s Active Opportunities Pathway (AOP) model, which combines accommodation with personalised support to help prevent homelessness from becoming entrenched and enable people to build stable, independent futures. She will help ensure the organisation can attract and recruit the skilled workforce needed to deliver services as THN expands into new areas.
Folland said: “THN’s focus on helping people build better futures, combined with its ambitious plans for growth, made this an opportunity I seized with both hands. I’m excited to be joining at such an important time and look forward to strengthening our talent and resourcing function to support colleagues across the organisation.”
Marc Goodkind, managing director at THN, said: “Donna brings a wealth of recruitment, workforce planning and leadership experience that will be invaluable as we continue to grow and expand our services. Attracting, developing and retaining talented people is central to our success and Donna’s expertise will help ensure we have the right people and processes in place to support our ambitions.”
Melanie Manners, chief people officer at THN, added: “We are delighted to welcome Donna to THN and look forward to the contribution she will make as we continue to build on our success and support more people to achieve positive outcomes.”
